A little bit about us

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in October ‘25, and we’re exploring a nanny share starting around Jan or Feb ‘26, once we’re both back at work. We're based in the Golden Hills area of North Redondo Beach and are hoping to find a likeminded family nearby interested in sharing warm, high-quality care.

About us:
-Two full-time working parents (I am hybrid, my husband is full-time remote)
-We have friendly pets (two dog and two cats), so a pet-friendly share family and caregiver is a must
-Ideally would like to rotate hosting.
-We value a nurturing environment focused on connection and development
-We strive to avoid being helicopter parents
-We’re fully open to a nanny who speaks additional languages—this is a lovely bonus, but not required

What we're looking for:
-A family with a baby close in age (±6 months ideally)
-We’re happy to join a share that includes an older sibling
-Shared values around responsive caregiving and a collaborative communication style
-Looking for full-time care (e.g., 8:30am–6:00pm M–F), but flexible on details
-A family with similar, free-range philosophy to child-rearing.

Other days I will have appointments. Tidying up after meals and play is a bonus but not required as the baby will be your main focus. No driving needed right away but potentially in future. We have 2 friendly dogs and a cat but you will not need to care for them. Lucas is 14 months old and a super happy baby. He’s very active, walking, climbing and very confident with being a little dare devil. I need someone who has a gentle approach with tantrums and teaches a Montessori type play and sensory activities. He loves the park and getting dirty, playing around or with other kids and going to Dig It at Del amo mall. We are a low toxic household so no perfume or fragrance can be worn around the baby. We eat very healthy and don’t allow any screen time. He is 29lbs and needs to be rocked to sleep and carried at times so being able to lift him is necessary. We prefer someone long term who can be a little flexible on days and times. Occasional date nights would be great as well.
