Does need to be state approved as it will be Sate pay. I have a daughter who is one and a half who loves attention which is why I prefer to have an In-home babysitter for her! She will let you know when she wants a snack from the kitchen or when she wants her sippy cup refilled, she enjoys play time with her toys, but does struggle with her naps, she likes to fight her sleep. She also can get a bit fussy when she doesn't get what she wants so I do need someone who has patience and tolerance for her
