Live-In Part-Time Nanny Job: The Tankersley Family with 1 Child
We are looking for a babysitter/nanny for our 2 year old daughter. We also have a son that is 19 months younger.
We currently need someone to watch our daughter 1-3 times a week, typically during the day. Then periodically a date night and whatnot.
We have dogs and cats, so must be okay with that. Would prefer someone that is interactive with our children, not just turn on the tv the whole time. Someone that they can be friends with and play with. Someone who can be apart of the family.
Some qualifications we can be lenient on:
16 - 30 years old. (Age seems appropriate with children - especially energy levels, playing, and needs being met.)

Needs: school pick up most days of the week. I’m a physician and am on call 5-7 days per month.
When “call” kicks in, it gets more complicated. There will be some nights that require someone to spend the night here, perhaps get my son ready for school and school drop-off. These situations will be few, but they do happen. What I’ve done in the past is to have someone “on call” the nights that I am on call. You may get paid to sleep, you may get woken up at 2am to hurry over here. You may stay until 10pm and then get called back at 1am. The schedule is chaotic and will require some weekends. Babies can come at anytime 😬.
I generally pay $15/hr.
$50 to be “on call,” plus additional $15/hr if called in.
LONGER term:
I’ll be looking for more of a part time nanny/housekeeper. Someone to pick up/put away groceries, some laundry, clean, etc. This wouldn’t be hourly, but would negotiate number of days per week, duties done, etc. to come up with a weekly rate.

I work at Sam’s Club and my daycare isn’t open on Saturdays. Requires weekend day to stay full time. Single parent. Hours of my job are 6 am to 2:30pm. I’d like a half hour before my shift and about an hour after if possible as I don’t have a car and sometimes taxis and Ubers aren’t readily available. It would be great if the children could be watched at my house or if they could be picked up and dropped back off, not picky just looking to stay full time. These are some active children, always on the move and ready to go.
