Part-Time Nanny Job: The Sutherland Family with 2 Children
We are looking for a mature, dependable family assistant to provide occasional overnight care for our 14-year-old daughter in Gig Harbor when we travel. This is not a traditional full-time nanny position. She is quite independent, but needs a responsible adult in the home, transportation to and from school, sports and activities, help with meals, and general supervision. We also have dogs, so some light pet care would be part of the role.
Most travel would be planned well in advance and would typically involve blocks of 2–7 days, several times per year. We would love to find one consistent person who can get to know our family and become our trusted go-to person over time. A reliable car, clean driving record, comfort with overnight stays, and strong references are important. This could be an especially good fit for a teacher, graduate student, healthcare professional, experienced nanny, or retired professional looking for occasional work rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Pham Family with 1 Child
We are looking for a full-time (40hrs/week) caregiver for our 3-year-old daughter starting August 31st. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, and includes preschool drop-off and pickup plus afternoon care at home.
During her preschool hours (9am-11:30am), we expect the caregiver to use that time for child-related responsibilities such as planning activities, preparing meals and snacks, organizing toys and learning materials, and other tasks that support her routine and development.
The afternoon activities should build on what she's learning at school.
The right person has real experience with preschool-age children and knows how to support development at this stage: communication, potty training, fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, playing with other kids, and doing more things on her own. The goal is to help her building the skills she will need for kindergarten.
We care most about consistent routines and room for her to solve problems herself.
If this sounds like the work you enjoy, tell us about your experience with this age group and what draws you to the role.
