A little bit about us

This is a unique "live-in" position, it is full time near Hilo, Hawaii. I have a 2.5 year old son named Aslan, and I have a fully private apartment and bath on premises, off street parking, the position is for room and board plus a weekly stipend. Please message me for more details, photos, etc. I am looking for hopefully long term stable care for my son. The job and home are up-country and we have a big beautiful garden and close access to beaches, mountains, the volcano, and the jungle/waterfalls. The position is mon-fri full time, weekends and evenings off. Aslan is a very intelligent and active 2 year old, he is working on potty training and loves playing in the garden and camping.

Aloha from the Irei family! We are looking for a part-time babysitter to watch our son on weekends in the evening so that mama and daddy can go out on an occasional date night. Our son, Chance, is an easy-going 3-year-old that loves to play chase, solve puzzles, read books, and is just generally ready to talk your ear off! We also have a friendly (but energetic) golden retriever named Kaipo who would also be present and love to meet you, however you will not be expected to care for her as well. Your responsibilities will be to look after our son, play with him and keep him engaged with activities/toys (which we have plenty of here, no need to bring any unless you wish to), and possibly feed him dinner which we would prepare and leave for him ahead of time. He is potty trained, but may still need to be reminded to check if he needs to use the restroom, and will occasionally need help with some of the steps like wiping and washing hands. Our starting rate is $20/hr and will usually fall on a Saturday/Sunday evening for approximately 4-5 hours (4pm - 8/9pm). Mahalo, and we can't wait to meet you!
