A little bit about us

This is a full-time, live-out position in New Jersey, not New York.

We are seeking an energetic, experienced, reliable, proactive, and professional nanny to care for our 12-month-old baby. This position requires commitment for at least 9-12 month period. The role also includes providing after-school assistance for our 9-year-old child, Monday through Friday (after 3:30).

Requirements:
* Strong infant and toddler care experience
* Fluency in English
* A genuine passion for early childhood development
* A clean driving record and a reliable car for commuting to work each day
* Up-to-date vaccinations
* Professional references
* Experience working with children with special needs is a plus

Responsibilities include:
* Providing attentive care for the baby
* Helping the baby establish and maintain a nap schedule
* Preparing homemade baby food and feeding the baby
* Engaging the baby in age-appropriate gross- and fine-motor development activities
* Cleaning bottles and other baby-feeding items
* Organize and maintain organization of nursery area and baby activity area
* Baby and older child laundry
* Assist with baby bath
* Initiate the baby’s bedtime routine at end of day
* Supervising and preparing meals for the older child during after-school hours
* Assisting with light household organization and cleaning as needed

The nanny should be comfortable multitasking, such as supervising the baby while preparing baby food safely or organizing baby sleep and play area.

Occasional additional non baby related household organization and light cleaning support may be requested and will be compensated separately.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and the level of additional support provided to the family.
