A little bit about us

We are a family of three, currently expecting another child! Our three year old is curious and playful, he loves monster trucks, trains and dinosaurs. We belive that he is autistic and are currently in the process of a clinical diagnosis. That being said, we are looking for someone who is patient and able to assist him in the regulation of his emotions when he is upset or excited, which he struggles with.
We are due with our second son in March 2021. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with infants and engaging to toddlers. Our son would need help with e-learning and we'd love someone who would like to read with him. My wife works days and I work nights, so I would be in the home for any issues that arise, however, sleeping. There would be lunch prep for the toddler and bottles for newborn. As well as the possibility of diaper changing. You are not required to drive them anywhere. I have an appointment every Friday morning that they are not allowed at, so that would be the only time you would be truly alone with them. We also have 3 cats-you're not required to care for them, just be comfortable with them.

Fridays are the only definite day, and a few other times a week so I can sleep is likely. We can negotiate days when we meet.

we request that you be CPR and First aid certified, as well as provide a character reference for us to call. We also ask that you do not smoke.
We want you to be engaged with the children, not plop them in front of the television.

I have almost 4 year old twins. They are wonderful bundles of energy. I will need someone available on either Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays (only one day will be necessary as my job is deciding which of these days they need me most) While I would not work from 7-am to 10pm. That would need to be the window of availability as I would either be required to start at 7 or end at 10 depending on if I'm working an open or closing shift.
