Babysitter Job: The Arthur Family with 1 Child
I'm looking for care every Tuesday 1p.m.-9p.m. In home on Gilmore Trail is ideal as our 6 yo boy has a bit of anxiety. He's great in his element at home with his favorite toys.
I've been his full time caregiver his whole life. I found a p/t job to help support our family. I'm able to give half my wage and possibly more.
He has been at ABC Preschool parent Cooperative for 2 years and will be in kindergarten fall '25.
He does mildly struggle with interoception things and does well with reminders to drink water, eat, and change himself. He also is not using the toilet 100%. He does still pee in diapers, but changes himself. It has been an arduous 4 years with potty training. It's tied to that interoception struggle. He can't hear the call most of the time. He also has limited food choices. Smoothie, raspberries, one kind of chicken strips, peanut butter crackers, bunny/ gold fish crackers, and sometimes papa murphy cheese pizza with no sauce.
He's a thoughtful, kind boy who really likes to build Lego creations and scenes. He loves space, getting fresh air, being silly, hotwheels city, matchbox city, buzz light year, star wars, puzzles, learning, snap circuits, reading books, and so much more. He plays really well independently, but loves to play with someone when able.
The responsibilities I would expect are:
-to show up on time, sober, and no cigarette use.
- be kind, fun, and respectful
- help remind him to drink, eat, and change self with hand washing
- no clean up of any kind would be expected.
-tidying toys or putting toys away before getting more out would be preferred only bc it really helps his little brain feel less busy and keeps him from getting overwhelmed leading to frustrations.
Please, let me know if you are remotely interested, but need more pay. I may be able to find more money for the right person!
It should be a really low key, easy position. Once he's comfortable you could likely read/ do home work for some time, too.
