Live-In Nanny Position – Support Role (Not Primary Caregiver) Location: Nova Scotia Type: Live-In, Part-Time/Full-Time Support Start Date: Flexible I am looking for a live-in nanny to support my two young children and help create space for me to recharge and manage day-to-day routines. I am a retired veteran and always home, so I am present and involved — I am not looking for someone to raise my children, but rather someone who can help make our home life run more smoothly. Primary Duties Light childcare support while I am home. Watching the kids for short periods so I can: -Go for a 30-minute walk -Shower or get ready without interruptions -Have occasional evenings out (mostly while kids are asleep) -Cooking simple, healthy dinners -Basic household help related to the children What This Role Is A supportive presence in the home Someone reliable who can step in for short breaks Someone who understands boundaries and respects privacy A helper who makes it easier for me to take care of myself while I continue to take care of my kids What This Role Is Not You will not be the primary caregiver You will not be responsible for disciplining or raising the kids This is not a full housekeeper or full domestic role Ideal Candidate Kind, patient, and good with young children Trustworthy and comfortable with a collaborative home environment Understands structure, routine, and respect Enjoys cooking simple meals Flexible for short-notice support Comfortable with a live-in arrangement Compensation Typical nanny rates in Nova Scotia range from $18–22/hr depending on duties and experience. Room and board benefits can also be factored into overall compensation. We can discuss a fair, mutually beneficial arrangement.
