A little bit about us

We have a sweet, happy and giggly five month old boy, who's loved his time at daycare, but his parents weren't prepared for the number of "outbreaks" that occur there. So, in an effort to make sure he has the opportunity to socialize while his parents are at work, we're exploring a nanny share. We also have a dog (who is a barker!), so we'd be open to doing a nanny share that runs out of a partner's home versus our own.

Before joining this group, we honestly had no idea what a “nanny share” was — and it has been such a gift to our family. We’ve been part of this share for nearly six years and absolutely adore our nanny, as well as the other families we’ve had the opportunity to share this experience with. It has been such a special community for our kids and for us.

We’d love to find another family in Edison Park, Norwood Park, Jefferson Park, Union Ridge, or the surrounding areas who is looking to join our community!

A few details about how the arrangement works:
-Full-time care is provided for both families
-The children spend a few days in our home and a few days in the other home
-Our nanny travels between both homes
-The setup provides the benefits of in-home care while making it more affordable through the share

Looking for a nanny who drives and is available 2:45 PM-6:30 to pick our kids up from school and take them to their practices. Must have an excellent driving record and a car.

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Truax Family with 3 Children

Looking for an energetic and fun loving nanny to care for 2-year-old twins, George and Oliver, and 18-month-old, Miles. We would love to hear from nannies who have experience caring for multiple children and ideally, who have experience in early childhood education/development. The twins need care from Monday-Thursday and Miles will be part-time for two days a week with the hopes of going full time as he gets older. Hours are (approximately) from 8-4 with some weeks extending later. Both families live in the Logan Square/Avondale neighborhoods and will use just one location for the nanny share. Nanny must be open to abiding by Covid precautions outlined by the families and must be comfortable with parents working from home. Must have private means of transportation while Covid is still a concern.
