Babysitter Job: The Deckard Family with 1 Child

A little bit about us

Hi!
My name is Ali. My husband is Joel, and our son is Jesse. He is 15 months old, and is an amazingly curious, playful, friendly little boy. :)

I am a music therapist. I normally work out of the house, but every other Thursday, I work from home in the morning facilitating a virtual support group at 11 AM. I was able to do this with Jesse home for his first year of life because he napped during that time. He has transitioned to one nap a day (eliminating his morning nap). I cannot lead the group and care for him at the same time, so we are looking for someone to care for him during the couple of hours every other week when I am leading the support group.

We also want to establish a relationship with a nanny in case of emergency, as backup to our normal child care plan (my mom).

What we would hope for is intentional play time with Jesse. He has toys upstairs in his nursery as well as toys, books and activities on the main level of our home. He has a swing set in the backyard and really just loves to interact.

No meal prep would be necessary during the time frame we are needing help; maybe just a small snack that I would prepare.

To our knowledge, he does not have any disabilities or limitations that would require specific accommodations or accessibility considerations.

Please note that we do have 2 small dogs in the house - Winston and Oscar, both very friendly. Care for them wouldn’t be necessary as they have access to their food and can let themselves out into the backyard when needed, but I wanted to note it in case of allergies.
