Part-Time Nanny Job: The S Family with 3 Children
Family of 5 seeking a warm, capable nanny to assist stay-at-home mom on weekday afternoons, 3-5 days per week. We have 3 kids: boys ages 5 and 3 and a newborn girl. You'd care for the baby solo while I do school pickup, then work alongside me through the afternoon: after-school snacks and decompression for the boys, help with the baby during the afternoon/evening hours, and getting dinner on the table. We're looking for someone calm and confident with preschool/kindergarten age-kids, ideally with a background (or degree in progress) in early childhood education, child psychology, pediatric OT, nursing, or similar. Newborn experience required. Must be comfortable with dogs. $27-32 hr depending on experience. We're metro and bus accessible. I have a 13 year old daughter and an 8 year old son. We also have a one year old Irish setter. I am looking for assistance after school from around 3 pm to 8 pm two to three days a week, depending on my schedule. Some driving will be required but I can supply a car. Outside of school, my daughter's main interest is horseback riding and competes in jumper shows. My son is into soccer but also fascinated by computers already. We're first-time parents to a six-month-old boy in Southwest DC, near the Wharf. We are looking to start a nanny share with another family or to join one. We're happy to host, split duties or go to your place. We have two great nanny candidates lined up (but are open to other candidates as well). Our targeted start date is late April but we can start in May or June if necessary.
Full-Time Nanny Job: The Johnson Family with 1 Child
Hi we are looking for a flexible nanny to care for our 6.5 month old son starting in mid June! I work long hours in a hospital and my husband travels for work so we need somebody that is willing to work with our schedules. Most days, the hours would be 8AM-6PM 3-4 times a week. The days would be different each week but scheduled days will be provided at least a month in advance. When my husband travels for work, we would need the nanny to come earlier to the house at around 6AM and work until 6PM. But you would be allowed to leave early/work a shorter day in the same week.
Other things we are looking for in a nanny:
- previous experience with infants and willing to provide references
- has their own transportation
- be fully vaccinated for COVID, flu, TDAP
- must know infant CPR
- fun, caring, and energetic
- willing to take our son to activities like playgroup, library, zoo, playdates, playground, museums, etc
- creative, proactive, and willing to come up with new activities and play ideas
- understands age appropriate play and developmental milestones
- willing to help prepare, cook, and feed solids to our son as we are just beginning this journey
- loves dogs since we have one in the house and possibly walk the dog once a day
- willing to also do light housekeeping such as baby's laundry, clean up after them, wash and sanitize bottles
