We’re the Dodges, and we live in the small town of Eagar, Arizona. Eager is about 3 and a half hours North-East of Phoenix, and doesn’t quite feel like Arizona with all of the mountains and trees.
My name is Jena, and my husband’s name is Chris. Our oldest daughter is Maddie, who is fourteen years old. Following her is our daughter Dixie, at thirteen. Next is our son Jake, at twelve. Other than giving the kids rides and cooking them meals, they’re all pretty independent and like to do things themselves. The three of them are polite and good-hearted. I couldn’t ask for better kids. In only a few short weeks, we will be welcoming our newest daughter, Xeni, into the world. We couldn’t be happier, but we know having a new baby will be a little challenging for our busy household. Beyond them, we also have five energetic dogs. They’re all friendly and smaller, but they love attention!
A typical week day would usually begin around 11:00am for you (maybe earlier or later some days.) Your responsibilities would be a mixed bag, and you’ll have to take care of the baby on some days. You’ll likely be picking up the kids from school most days in the car we provide you. The kids are all well-behaved, but sometimes need reminding to do their chores after school, and may also need help with school work, which we hope you'd be able to do for them. Some nights our family goes out to eat (which you'd always be welcome to join in on,) but on other nights cooking dinner could fall to you. Once in a while, you may need to watch the baby on a Friday or Saturday night while Chris and I go out. Our family takes semi-frequent vacations and you may be required to accompany us on those.
We will provide you with a late-model car, as well as your own bedroom. You’ll have a shared bathroom with our son.
Our ideal nanny is someone who is easy-going, and will be happy to care for and spend time with our kids and family. We want you to feel at home with us.
