Part-Time Nanny Job: The Bernstein Family with 2 Children

Family Assistant / Nanny-House Manager — San Francisco

We're a busy SF family in Noe Valley with two sweet and curious kids (2nd grade and TK) looking for a warm, organized, and reliable family assistant to join our household. This is a hybrid role — part nanny, part house manager — and the right person will be equally comfortable helping with homework and handling a grocery run.

Spanish fluency is required. Our kids speak Spanish and all interaction with them should be in Spanish. Native-level fluency only, please.

Schedule: ~20 hours/week base, roughly 4:30–8:30pm weekdays. Flexibility to stay late as needed and occasional weekend hours and eventually occasional overnights.

Responsibilities:

Kids (primary — all in Spanish):

• School pickup between 5-6pm
• Afterschool activities, homework help, and imaginative and art play
• Prepare lunch and dinner for the kids
• Bathtime and bedtime routine (kids in bed by 8pm)

Household (~5 hrs/week):

• Laundry
• Grocery shopping
• Light organization and household errands

Bonus — more hours available if you love to cook:

• Preparing family meals would be a big plus and could expand your hours

What we're looking for:

• Native Spanish speaker — this is a firm requirement
• Experience with school-age children
• Warm, patient, and great with kids
• Organized and proactive
• Must have a reliable car
• Non-smoker
• Legal to work in the US

Compensation: $30–35/hr DOE

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Johnson Family with 2 Children

We have two kids, a 12 year old girl, and a 9 year old boy. We are both working parents and are looking for some part time help to keep things running smoothly in our household. Ideally, we would like someone afterschool on Monday and Tuesday to watch the kids and make sure homework is done. We would then like some flexible hours for the occasional weekend evening. We would look to guarantee 20 hrs a week that would include every Monday/Tuesday afternoon, plus some floating hours for childcare and light meal prep. Our ideal candidate is looking for a second job, or is a student or is retired. My SO is mexican, and we would love to have someone who speaks both English and Spanish to help teach the children Spanish. Drivers license a plus. We also have a 7 year old labradoodle, so light dog care would be apprecaited as well.
