A little bit about us

I'm an incoming emergency medicine resident at Wright State. I have an 8 year old son who will be starting 3rd grade at Normandy Elementary in Centerville. He's been attending a Montessori school that was fully outdoors since preschool and loves to be outside. He plays golf and swims like a fish. We also have 2 dogs, one 40 lb Australian shepherd (13 years old) who is the sweetest and one 20 lb Schnauzer/Yorkie mix (4 years old) who thinks she's the queen. I won't have a work schedule for myself until June so I don't know specific days and times yet, but I start on July 1st and my son starts school on August 14th. I may need care for him here and there before he starts school as he will be spending some time with his grandparents this summer. I'm looking for someone who can get him ready for school and on the bus, be there when he gets off the bus, and/or stay with him in the evenings when I'm at work. I will be working a variety of shifts including overnights and shifts that start very early or end late, so I need someone that can spend the night sometimes and he will need to be fed dinner from time to time too. I will need our dogs taken out periodically as well. We've never had a nanny or even a babysitter that wasn't family so this is new territory for both of us!

Note: this is not a live in nanny position, and we are not looking for an in home daycare.
