A little bit about us

We are currently looking for a nanny for a nanny share between our two families. We are hoping for someone who is able to work 8-5 on weekdays, although we have a bit of flexibility here. Our nanny would also need to be okay around pets (cats and dogs) although they would not be your responsibility. We would love a little help with some light housework but more than anything we are hoping to find someone who is able to engage with our children and create a lasting relationship. We can't want to meet you!

We are a loving inter-generational family in Columbia, MD. We have a 9 month old baby boy and two and a half year old toddler. Baby is playful and highly communicative. Toddler is observant, talkative, speaks clearly, loves to sing and enjoys playing and talking with caregivers. He knows numbers up to 100, the alphabet, shapes and colors and is learning to read common words and simple sentences.
We have a nice back yard with a pond and live in a quiet neighborhood with access to multiple playgrounds. Our ideal nanny will use objects around the house, craft projects and nature to create opportunities for language learning.
We work from home part of the week. Nanny will be needed consistently twice per week, ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays to provide care in the afternoon to evening, ideally from 2 to 7 pm. Plus may also be needed 2-3 days extra per month while parents are working away from the house. Grandparents also live in the house and will be available to step in if needed.
