Hi all! I am looking for care in my home in South Tacoma for my one year old for 30ish hours a week, starting in April through mid-August, with potential to extend beyond that. Days will be Tues-Fri but still working out the specifics!
A few things to note:
- My kiddo is super happy and silly. Not quite walking yet but very close.
- He still takes two naps a day. We don’t sleep train and he does still prefer contact naps, so ideally looking for a responsive caregiver who is okay with contact naps. He will sleep in the crib for some stretches.
- No driving expectations, but baby does love going for walks/outings in the neighborhood. We are walking distance to South Tacoma Way (Blue Beard, Howdy Bagel, etc)
- We have a dog and cat in the home. Dog gets excited when people come in the door but will otherwise sleep the entire day on the sofa.
- Light housekeeping duties, mainly tidying the toys and mess the baby makes (current favorite activity is pulling all the shoes off the shoe rack) and helping with baby’s laundry.
- We are an allergy/eczema household so ask caregivers to avoid perfumes or heavily scented hair products when coming to the house.
- Compensation negotiable for the right fit.

My son is 7 , sweet boy , on the spectrum, intelligent, has his methods to communicate and leaning more anymore everyday. Follows direction well, (not cognitive impaired). He goes to school and does what any other child would. He goes to therapies and I assist best Im able too. The person I had before moved. I accommodate as best as I can too, I plan, communicate and ensure the sitter will feel knowledgable or my sons routine, habits, likes etc.
