A little bit about us

I am looking for an enthusiastic, easygoing, upbeat caregiver to help with my 20 year old autistic son (and occasionally my 8 year old typical daughter) in Weston. Happy to have someone live in or out, depending on your needs. Experience with children/teens with special needs is a must. Hours are approximately 2:00-7:00PM Monday to Friday. I can be a bit flexible with those hours and I need someone flexible for the occasional night out (and the even more occasional overnight). Position involves school pickup, driving to therapies as well as meal prep and spending leisure time with my son. He loves to walk, hike, bake and go to the grocery store. He is gentle and sweet and can be very repetitive…if you are studying to work in the fields of OT, speech, ABA, or autism, working with him will be excellent training for you. My 8 year old is a dream and will need occasional driving to activities. I have a 15 year old daughter who may need a ride sometimes too but is otherwise independent. Other responsibilities include simple meal prep for kids, keeping kitchen straightened and kids’ laundry. Must have a driver’s license (we will provide a car to drive the kids) and must be vaccinated. We are a laid back generous family and we take excellent care of people who take excellent care of our kids:) We are hoping for a 1 year commitment and really want someone fun and happy to spend time with our family.
