We are looking for a mature, dependable family assistant to provide occasional overnight care for our 14-year-old daughter in Gig Harbor when we travel. This is not a traditional full-time nanny position. She is quite independent, but needs a responsible adult in the home, transportation to and from school, sports and activities, help with meals, and general supervision. We also have dogs, so some light pet care would be part of the role.
Most travel would be planned well in advance and would typically involve blocks of 2–7 days, several times per year. Hey, my name is Will and my wife's name is Cecilia. We have a daughter named Alice who was born in June 2025 and would need a nanny about 8 to 10 hours a day Monday through Thursday. Cecilia works from home so would be in the house while you care for Alice.

Bonus if you’re able to do some very light small tasks after she’s asleep like load dishwasher and leave milk sippy cup for next morning in fridge.
The other block of time that would be helpful is Sunday morning 8:30 to nap time (usually noon) be able to put her down for a nap after feeding lunch.
On rare occasion, I’d list you as a back up to pick her up from daycare by 6 pm and bring her to our house, which is 2 miles from our house, and pay you even if the pick up is not needed. (this is if we are running late from something or need to go to an after-work event).
My daughter will be 3 in May, can talk pretty well and go up and down stairs on her own. She likes to play magnatiles, dress up as a doctor and put bandaids on you, and play chalk or go to a playground when weather is warm.

We are looking for a nanny in September or October. depending on the nanny and their needs. We are looking for a nanny that can keep our toddler engaged, busy and involved in activities outside the home as well as take great care of our new little guy. looking for Monday-Friday full time. Hours are normal business hours but will work out schedule with right fit. We do have a dog but she will not need to be cared for.
