A little bit about us

Hello! Our family is looking for a mother’s helper. The position can be part or full time, depending on qualifications and fit. I am a SAHM to two delightful children, ages 2 and 3. We currently have a wonderful helper who has been with us since May, but sadly for us, she is returning to college out of town at the end of August. She has become a member of our family and she is eager to speak with you as a reference.

Our children are smart, loving, fun and an overall pleasure to be around. Our parenting philosophy is to tend to all their needs, so we like to keep two sets of adult hands on deck. In your support role, you will be helping with kids laundry (I wash and you hang and fold), cleanup after their breakfast and lunch, help with their meal prep, baking if that interest you, pickup and organize toys in play areas, create super simple activities from Instagram, play/engage with kids for if I am busy (never more than one hour), occasional small grocery shopping or unloading grocery delivery, attending outdoor activities such as the park, beach, zoo (we will always pay your admissions and costs). It’s a very relaxed position. We have a healthy, happy and peaceful household and welcome someone who supports that. This means that you are very tidy and organized, enthusiastic, and caring. We do not have any pets. We pay very generous bonuses based on retention and excellent performance as well as gifts and paid meals.

Other requirements are :
— Covid vaccine and booster
— Annual flu vaccine and other standard vaccines such as MMR, tdap, etc.
— Non smoker
— Have reliable transportation (we do not require driving the children but want someone who can reliably be here)
— Background check or willing to undergo one at no cost to you.

Key Responsibilities
Infant Care: Provide attentive care focusing on safety, emotional security, and developmental growth
Routine: Follow and maintain a consistent schedule for naps, bottle feedings, and wake windows
Development: Engage in age-appropriate play, including tummy time, reading, and sensory activities
Hygiene: Handle frequent diaper changes, keep the nursery tidy, and clean baby items daily
Meal Prep: Wash, sterilize, and prepare formula or breastmilk bottles. Help transition to solid foods. Note: Mom will have prepared food, so you will not have to cook
Laundry: Wash, fold, and put away the baby's clothing and bedding
Light Housekeeping tasks

Position Requirements
Infant Knowledge: Deep understanding of infant milestones, safe sleep practices, and choking hazards
Certifications: Current Infant CPR and First Aid certifications
References: Strong references from previous families; past infant care experience is a major plus
Background Check: Clear criminal background check and a clean driving record
Health: Up to date on standard vaccinations (including Tdap and the flu shot) to protect the baby
