Full-Time Nanny Job: The Porter Family with 2 Children
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and engaging nanny to help care for our two young children. We have a two-year-old who turned two in September and an eight-month-old who is beginning to crawl and explore the world around him.
Our two-year-old is very communicative and enjoys reading, playing sports, spending time outside, and exploring new activities. Our eight-month-old is becoming increasingly active and has recently started crawling. We are also teaching him basic sign language to help him communicate his needs.
We do not use television or screens in our home. Instead, we believe in creating opportunities for our children to learn through play, reading, hands-on activities, outdoor experiences, and everyday interactions. We are looking for someone who enjoys being active and engaging with children rather than relying on screen time for entertainment.
Schedule:
We are primarily looking for care Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our schedule may vary from week to week depending on my work schedule, so there may occasionally be a weekday when care is not needed. Weekend availability would be a plus for occasional needs, but it is not required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Our primary expectation is caring for and engaging with the children. We also have a friendly and playful three-year-old German Shepherd who may need occasional attention, such as letting him outside or providing basic care.
We would also be interested in finding someone who is willing to help with occasional grocery shopping, errands, or other household tasks for additional paid hours when needed. These responsibilities would always be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
Ultimately, we are looking for someone who will become a trusted part of our family's routine and provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our children.

Some weeks he will have two days off during the week, sometimes he won't, or he could go in later or get off earlier than I do. So the drop offs and pick ups would be between the two of us. Ideally we would have you come and hang out with the kids for a few hours on the weekends and then also stop by during the week once while we are all out of the house to clean and tidy.
The kids both go to a great daycare but if/when they are sick it would be great to have backup help if you are available.
Murphy and Frankie are our two little ones. They love to play outside, dance, and look at books.
