Hello from the Engler family! We have two boys, Sam (5, sweet and inquisitive) and Benji (2, fun loving and silly), as well as an affectionate mini golden doodle named Miles (7). We are looking for help on a daily basis that would include playing with our kids while parents get ready for work, school drop off (walking or driving our car, multiple locations), laundry, light housework, meal prep, and the occasional special project (like organizing something for example). We would prefer 3-4 hours per day in the mornings Monday - Thursday but could flex to afternoons on some days.
Full-Time Nanny Job: The Caprio Family with 1 Child
We are looking for a caring, experienced, empathetic, and organized nanny for two infant girls, Arlyn and Evie. Both sets of parents work from home and would want care M-Th 9-4 pm.
Generally, here’s a list of expected responsibilities:
◦ Would like nanny to read at least 2 books everyday
◦ Sing songs or listen to nursery rhymes or music
◦ Rhyme, play, sing, and cuddle everyday
◦ Take a walk outside and play outside whenever possible
◦ Make funny faces, stick out your tongue, etc.
◦ Talk to baby. Tell them about upcoming plans, or whatever comes to mind
◦ No screens or tv for baby
◦ Frequent hand-washing and avoidance of high-risk areas and activities for illness - and always be cautious if there’s any hint of sickness, to just call in sick
◦ Baby must sleep in it’s back in crib (or contact napping if needed; please no bouncers or upright car seat naps)
◦ Tummy time and sensory activities atleast 3 times a day
◦ Diaper changes every 2-3 hours and outfit changes as necessary (wet from drool or soiled)
◦ No yelling, spanking, or any form of discipline unless explicitly agreed to by both sets of parents
◦ No “crying it out” method unless explicitly instructed by parents
◦ Must be non-smoker
◦ Preparing meals for baby, including washing and sanitizing bottles for use. Introducing purées and solid foods (at the appropriate age)
◦ Empty diaper pail into trash
◦ Put baby’s dirty laundry in the wash and dryer
We would like communication to be direct and frequent, and especially when it comes to our kids’ development, health, happiness. Both families expect a nanny to become a trusted partner in the care of their child, and to make decisions that always put our kiddos first.
If this sounds like a good fit, we look forward to hearing from you!
