Reliable After-School Nanny / Family Helper – Madison, AL – $18/hour
We are a family in Madison looking for a **kind, responsible, and highly reliable part-time nanny/family helper** for our children.
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, approximately **4:20 PM–8:30 PM**
**Pay:** **$18/hour**
Approximately 21 hours per week, with a consistent weekday schedule.
**Main responsibilities:**
* Pick up our two girls, ages **4 and 6**, from the same school at approximately 4:20 PM and bring them home
* Care for and engage with them during the evening
* Prepare and serve simple meals/snacks for the children
* Help with bath time and their evening routine
* Clean up after meals and help keep the kitchen, children's areas, and common spaces tidy
* Help with light household cleaning and organization
* Occasionally help care for our approximately **1-year-old child**. Parents will handle the baby's pickup/drop-off.
We are especially looking for someone who is **dependable, punctual, organized, caring, and willing to help where needed**. Reliability is extremely important because school pickup is at a fixed time each weekday.
**Ideal candidate:**
* Experience caring for young children
* Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and safe driving record
* Comfortable preparing children's meals
* Comfortable helping with baths and evening routines
* Willing to help with light cleaning and tidying
* Non-smoker
* Able to provide references
* CPR/First Aid certification preferred

The oldest, Kaylee, will be going to Pre-k 7:40-2:20 mon-fri. Malcolm, the youngest, is very loving and playful, and walking all over. he has some special dietary needs, but the only real impact is tight control on what he eats and recording what he eats.

We work from home and looking for help ideally Tuesday and Thursdays for half days (8-1ish). Possible additional hours or days if things workout. Our daughters are 2 and 2 months old when care starts. Our two year old loves singing, dancing, crafts, pretend play and outdoor play. We would only expect simple tasks of cleaning up with the toddler after activities and snacks as needed. We have two well behaved loving dogs.
