Babysitter Job: The Riley Family with 1 Child
Hi! My name is Bryant, and I’m looking to build a long-term relationship with a reliable babysitter for my son, Bayden. He’s 8 years old (turning 9 in September), and we live at the Aviara Apartments in Mountain House, just a short walking distance from Wicklund Elementary School.
I’m a newly full-time single dad and the Executive Chef at the San Francisco Zoo, so my commute can be challenging. Because of that, I’m looking for someone local who has a flexible schedule and is interested in becoming our go-to sitter for both occasional care and, potentially, regular after-school care once school starts.
Initially, I may need help with:
* Occasional babysitting for while I’m at work or away.
* Possible after-school pickup from Wicklund Elementary and supervision at home 3 to 4 days a week until I return from work (beginning around early August, depending on my schedule).
Bayden is an incredibly kind, respectful, independent, and mature kid. He’s easygoing and usually keeps himself entertained, but he’d love someone who enjoys playing games, watching a movie, helping with homework if needed, or simply hanging out. Our home is always stocked with snacks and drinks, and I always ask my sitters if there’s anything they’d like me to keep on hand as well.
I’m really hoping to find someone I can build a trusting, longer term working relationship with.. not just a one-time sitter.

* Are you currently working full-time, or do you primarily babysit for families as needed?
* What does your availability typically look like?
Experience with school-age children is preferred. Reliable transportation is important, and CPR/First Aid certification is definitely a bonus, although not required.

I need help with my son as he is 8 and homeschooled. You would just sit with him while he does his homeschool work for guidance and questions regarding his curriculum. I work from home so I need work completed. My daughter has type 1 diabetes so I’ll always be near by to check her glucose and administer insulin. The nanny would never have to worry about that. I’ll have meals prepped if feeding is necessary and light cleaning I don’t think is needed.
