Part-Time Nanny Job: The Shields Family with 1 Child
North Asheville family looking for a part-time nanny 2-3 days/week (ie 10-15 hours) to care for a newborn, 3-month-old baby girl. Dad has a demanding full-time, work-from-home job and spends his days working from his dedicated home office within the house; mom is currently on maternity leave and plans to accomplish household chores/projects uninterrupted, occasionally run errands, attend weekly appointments and selfcare endeavors between hire date and end of maternity leave in mid January.
Expectations:
--Engaging, age- and developmentally appropriate play during wake times, change diapers, attentive to baby’s needs and communication, put down for naps/monitor during naps to ensure safe sleep, soothe, etc.
--Potentially feed baby bottle with breastmilk if mom will be away from home during a feeding time (must be experienced in preparing and managing bottles, plus paced bottle feeding method).
-Put away baby toys, restock diaper and changing areas, baby’s laundry and light housework when naps permit/when mom is feeding baby (typically once per shift).
Single family home, two-story (must be OK with stairs as baby’s nursery is on second floor), diaper changing station on both levels, friendly indoor cat that could be kept in finished basement during childcare hours if preferred by nanny. Minimalist decor, clean, tidy, near large parks with plenty to do inside and outside home without car.
