A little bit about us

I am a nurse so 12 hours 3 days a week give or take depending on my husbands schedule with the rail road. My 5 year old goes to summit elementary and will have to be dropped off and picked up. My infant will be 3 months old when I go back to work and is breastfed so there will be a stock in the freezer.

I work in banking in Huntington, WV and my husband is an Emergency Services director in Carter County. Our jobs are somewhat flexible but neither one of us work in the Ashland area.

We have a baby on the way, due Feb. 2022. Our first! We are so excited! However, we are not too excited about daycare and the germs they bring with it. We will need someone to work typically from 7:00 am-4:30 or 5:00 pm M-F. We are willing to pay a flat rate. Pay is negotiable based on years of experience. We also have 2 chihuahuas. They are very friendly. They can be locked up most of the day if need be.

We would need someone to start mid May to early June depending on when my leave will be up.

We live in a quiet area. We are close with our neighbors. We live on a large loop so it’ll be nice for taking baby for a stroll when the weather warms up.

I am planning on breast feeding and will hopefully be pumping bottles for food.

We are still on the fence about childcare but we are open to this process at this time.

Six kids, but only the younger ones need to be looked after a couple days a week. They do virtual school so they'll mostly be doing schoolwork. They're really good kids, they just tend to argue with each other, but are very respectful to adults. The older kids will usually be home, but the older boys will mostly be in their bedrooms doing schoolwork or playing video games, they're just not very good babysitters to help with the younger kids. The option for one or two nights a month or more days during the week if things go well and you want more hours. Pay is negotiable depending on experience and references. I work six days a week, but it'd just not working out to bring them with me everyday so we can start with two or three days and see where we go from there.
