A little bit about us

My husband and I live and work in SF and are looking for a part-time helper/nanny for our 2 kids (6th and 3rd grade - ages 11 and 8). We need help ~2-3 mornings and ~3 weeknights per week but are willing to flex up on hours if desired. We also need intermittent weekend help. Start time in the morning is ~6:30 and we pay for 2 hours of care (although school drop off is between 7:15 AM and 7:40 AM so 2 full hours is rarely needed). Evening times vary depending on sports practices and the season but typically start around 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM and last for 2-3 hours (and occasionally more depending on our work schedules). We can either do a set number of minimum hours per week and make sure to schedule that or leave things flexible and schedule out a month in advance. The care giver needs their own car. Responsibilities include driving the kids to school, driving them to sports practices and games, helping them get ready in the morning, and helping with homework. We've had a college student help us for the past 5 years and this has worked out well.

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Bernstein Family with 2 Children

Family Assistant / Nanny-House Manager — San Francisco

We're a busy SF family in Noe Valley with two sweet and curious kids (2nd grade and TK) looking for a warm, organized, and reliable family assistant to join our household. This is a hybrid role — part nanny, part house manager — and the right person will be equally comfortable helping with homework and handling a grocery run.

Spanish fluency is required. Our kids speak Spanish and all interaction with them should be in Spanish. Native-level fluency only, please.

Schedule: ~20 hours/week base, roughly 4:30–8:30pm weekdays. Flexibility to stay late as needed and occasional weekend hours and eventually occasional overnights.

Responsibilities:

Kids (primary — all in Spanish):

• School pickup between 5-6pm
• Afterschool activities, homework help, and imaginative and art play
• Prepare lunch and dinner for the kids
• Bathtime and bedtime routine (kids in bed by 8pm)

Household (~5 hrs/week):

• Laundry
• Grocery shopping
• Light organization and household errands

Bonus — more hours available if you love to cook:

• Preparing family meals would be a big plus and could expand your hours

What we're looking for:

• Native Spanish speaker — this is a firm requirement
• Experience with school-age children
• Warm, patient, and great with kids
• Organized and proactive
• Must have a reliable car
• Non-smoker
• Legal to work in the US

Compensation: $30–35/hr DOE
