A little bit about us…

We need a part time nanny for our 6 month old baby in Newbury Park. I (mom) work from home, and would like someone to play with baby and have lunch with her while I am working. I have a home office that I will be working from.

Responsibilities would include, help preparing baby’s meals and picking up after baby. Schedule may vary slightly depending on the week and her nap schedule. Likely will update after she transitions to 2 naps and again when she moves to 1 nap around 14 months.

Days are Monday - Thursday. Approximately 20 hours a week. And you can leave during breaks/naps - to run errands, do school work, or whatever.

She loves being outside, sensory activities, and singing songs. We also have a neighborhood park 2-3 blocks from our home. We have a 3.5 year old, but she will be at preschool the majority of the time.

The ideal candidate would love the outdoors, use their creativity to plan activities, and be caring.

We would like to find someone to start towards the end of July, so please include your earliest start date and if you can provide references.

A little bit about us…

I am looking for a mother’s helper that I hope can turn into a nanny when I start working some. As a mother’s helper, I want help with things like playing with older kids while I care for newborn, or vice versa; preparing dinner or meal prepping from recipes; folding and putting away laundry; picking up dog poop (we do this daily) before kids run around in grass in backyard; and light tidying / organizing from daily messes (we have a housekeeper that does weekly deep cleaning so we just want help with day to day messes). My priority is that my children are well-loved and safe. I value someone with newborn and toddler experience committed to outdoor exploration that can offer musical and/or language enrichment. I want someone proactive that takes initiative and ideally will be in the area somewhat long term. We are a Christian family and do pray before meals and bed. My kids are high-energy but infinitely curious and charming!

I can initially commit to 8-12 hours/week. I think for now I want three days at four hours a day to include some combo of Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. However, I am flexible with the arrangement but really hope for someone also flexible as my husband does shift work as an ER doctor so he’s often working nights and weekends. Therefore, I definitely need someone willing to help on evenings (to 8 pm) and occasional weekends.
