Part-Time Nanny Job: The Manon Family with 1 Child
My wife and I are looking for someone who matches the follow criteria to watch our son:
- Trustworthy
- Responsible
- Quick to Respond
These 3 principles are the foundation for a good working relationship. I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to these 3 criteria, meaning - the second I have reason to doubt, we will no longer be needing your services.
I have been the primary caregiver for my son, and I need certainty that the person taking my place can be trusted and is good at heart.
If you by nature are kind, caring, and responsible with children, then my criteria should be no issue; and, I believe we will have a good working relationship, where my wife and I will treat you with respect and like family. However is this sounds like a lot, I understand. The language is a bit intimidating, but I won’t compromise my son’s well being and safety.
About him:
He is currently enrolled in TK and has late start 4 days a week, and early start on Wednesdays. He’s 4. He speaks well, but struggles with his “k” sounds and “g” “j” sounds.
About me:
I work weekend clinics for a sports organization. I am looking to get into the public sector which will afford me job growth & stability. Until the job is obtained, the hours of employment are undisclosed. I’ve been watching our son on a consistent basis for the last 4, almost 5 years and have never let him out of my sight.
About mom:
Mom works full time, hybrid. She works from home 2 days a week and helps with duties when she’s not working or in meetings. Mom wants to trust our sitter, but the sitter needs to earn Mom’s trust and respect by being consistent with every aspect concerning our son.
To me, it’s important to find the right fit for all our sakes, including yours. I don’t want someone who resents children and can potentially harm our son through discipline, but I also don’t want someone who is so carefree that they lose my son. My wife needs stability, and I need safety for our son.

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Anderson Family with 4 Children
Negotiable pay. Great family, looking for a responsible, intelligent nanny to help keep children entertained while mom works. Flexible hours if needed. I have a flexible job which can accommodate the right individual, I just need some time to myself to concentrate, undistracted on MY work, while YOU work.
Most important thing is my children are cared for, kept safe, warm and clean.
Tidy up, keep them fed, and help out with household items such as toy pickup, disinfecting the commonly used areas, sweep/mop, wiping restrooms down and just helping to ensure a germ free environment.
We instill responsibility into the older children and they are expected and responsible for their own rooms and laundry. But I do need help with some items while you are here at work. Keeping the house nice and organized, the toy room of the 3 year old is played in a lot, so keeping the toy bins organized, labeled and sanitized is very important. I don’t want the toys just thrown into the closet if you know what I mean 😉
Meal prep is important, and kitchen clean up as you go.
The right candidate has cooking skills, and doesn’t just microwave Mac and cheese… 😆
The ability to interact and read books, teach abc’s to the 3 year old, pick up children from school if need be. Caregiver should have a reliable vehicle, with a clean driving record, willing to pick the children up from school, take them home and stay engaged with the younger children until I arrive.
In a day and age when young adults and teenagers spend hours on their cell phones, and watching you tube, it’s important to find the right person who understands what a caregiver is.
Looking forward to speaking with you, and eventually have you become a wonderful asset to our environment!
Nanny lane only has a platform for pay which states $____(roughly) and they request we put an amount. I put $17 but that’s not set in stone. Upon meeting at an interview, we can discuss what pay works for the both of us.
