Hi there! We are looking to fill a temporary position while our current nanny is on her maternity leave. We anticipate needing help for about 12-14 weeks starting at the end of August. We have two sons aged 4 and 1. Both of them will be in school starting in the fall. Our needs are primarily before and after school including drop off and pick up. The position also entails kid-related meal prep, laundry, and tidying, as well as bringing our dog on walks or playing with him in the yard. We would gaurantee a set number of hours per week with an over time rate for any additional hours, mileage reimbursement, and prefer to pay over the table through a payroll service. We’re looking for a kind, reliable caregiver to watch our daughter Ellie 2–3 times per week for 4–8 hours, depending on the day. Our schedule is flexible. Dad works from home, mom is expecting another baby in the coming weeks and needs to be out of the house for appointments that can be scheduled around nanny availability. Ideal fit is someone comfortable either coming and going around wake/sleep windows or staying through nap time to assist with household organization. We have a 2 year old Australian Shepard who is very friendly, must be okay with dogs as well as a 9 year old son who is in school and sports and will not be in nanny’s care.

A typical day will include finishing up breakfast and getting him ready for the day. We live walking distance to many local activities and have a playroom and yard at our home. Lunch prep and sitting with him while he eats. Getting him ready and down for a nap. During nap time light cleaning and household tasks relating to his care.
We have a very sweet dog that may have to be let out during the day to our fenced in yard. Just open the door to have him go out and come in - he will take care of the rest!

Hi! My daughter Hannah is 8-year-old and is going to be a third grader at Duffy Elementary School in West Hartford. Because of Covid, they will be on a hybrid schedule (one week on next week off).
