Part-Time Nanny Job: The Collins Family with 3 Children
Hello to all prospective sitters! We are searching for a responsible, energetic, and nurturing individual to join our household starting October 12th. While we are looking for a professional caregiver for our three preschool-aged children, our true hope is to find someone who will eventually feel like an extension of our family. The role involves managing the evening routine from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, with the occasional Thursdays and Weekends. Because our little ones—including a pair of twins who love to roughhouse—can be quite hyperactive, we are looking for a sitter with a truly even keel and a patient heart. Your time with us will include supervising creative playtime, preparing snacks, and ensuring our large dog is fed and cared for. As a bonus, if we ever require your assistance on family trips, all of your travel expenses will be fully covered in addition to your regular hourly pay.
To ensure the best environment for our children, we do require that you have your own reliable transportation and are comfortable around pets. A non-negotiable for our family is a current CPR/First Aid certification; however, if you are not yet certified, we are happy to hire someone willing to undergo training immediately upon joining us. While not a strict requirement, candidates with existing military base access would be a wonderful plus for our logistics. We are looking for someone who can balance professional reliability with a warm, personal touch, and we truly look forward to finding the right fit for our lively home. Our household is your average controlled chaos. Everyday is ever changing. In our home we have a 2 year old, 10 year old and an 18 year old, all boys. I am only looking for full care for our 2 year old and potentially making breakfast/lunch for my 10 year old. We also have an Alaskan malamute and two cats in the home, but will require no care except maybe letting our dog outside if he scratches at the door. My husband is a truck driver and I work from home about 50% of the time.
My expectations for care are as follows; he is a wild child and full of love so with that we fully expect the madness that comes along with it. We embrace toddler led days. I don't have a set schedule for him, but he is typically awake at 8AM and goes to bed around 9PM. The hours of care can vary within that time frame.
He's a very easy going toddler. He will eat anything that's given to him. He will communicate his needs as well.
I expect there to be cleaning following behind him and potentially some light household work. We do a good job divvying out the house upkeep between everyone.
It will never be necessary to take him to appointments. He does enjoy the park and we live in a housing development that offers that ammenity.
