A little bit about us

I am a single mother to 5 adopted children: Karely, Antonio, Alicia, Pedro, and Sebastian who are 14, 8,7,5, and 1 respectively. My sister would previously help with childcare, but she has since moved and my job has recently become more demanding as we have started a new fieldwork project (I work as a conservation biologist). My hours can be odd at times, I can come home very late or end up getting off early, so I will need someone who is willing to be flexible and plan each week out individually. My children are homeschooled but the tutor takes care of that, so no need for any help with homework. I try to work with my children to plan activities for them and get them outside and active as much as possible. We live on a hobby farm with chickens, ducks, 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a potbelly pig and we also have a small fruit and vegetable garden (do not worry about the garden, and Karely has most of the animal care covered, although the younger ones like to join in). The children (minus Sebastian) each have their own chore list and they all have and individually tailored nighttime routine. I prefer a gentle parenting approach and would like to turn any problems or mistakes the kids make into teaching moments.
