A little bit about us

I am 55 years and have always enjoyed working with children. I earned a degree in early childhood education in May 2000. As I was working on my degree I worked part-time at the United Fellowship Church children's Center located in MidCity, until they closed their business in the year 2000. In [phone number hidden], I owned and operated a home-based center called "Laugh & Learn Childcare" where I catered to 4-5 children ages 6 months - 1 year old. Unfortunately, Friday, August 26, 2005 before Hurricane Katrina devasted our city was the last day of operation. Since then life has been a journey of experiences, none of which opened doors into childcare. I have raised two lovely young adults, one of which is working on her masters program and my son will graduate from college in 2025. Although life has it's twists and turns, I appreciate all the experience and knowledge that was gained as a result. Currently, I manage an event business and am searching for part-time work, because I could use the additional income. My availability is on Mondays after 12:00pm and Tuesday & Wednesday after 5pm and some Fridays and Saturdays depending upon availability.
