A little bit about me
I have been babysitting since I was 16 years old and love working with & learning from kids! I have worked with children 2 weeks-16 years, including kids with special needs. I also have experience working in school and camp settings. My experience includes engaging kids in age-appropriate, enriching activities (indoor and outdoor!), helping with homework, dropping off/picking up from school/extracurriculars, and preparing nutritious snacks & meals as well as some light housekeeping work. I have a background in art and love to encourage kiddos to get creative! I love spending time outside and making the most of all that SoCal's geography has to offer!
I am fully vaccinated, CPR and First-Aid certified, I have a driver's license and car, and can pass drug tests/background checks if needed.

A little bit about me
I graduated with a bachelors degree in psychology in May of 2022. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working as a full time nanny to 4 amazing kids (7,6,3,2). After being with them for 14 months and sending the two youngest to preschool, I then started working with 5-6 families weekly. These families ranged for 2-5 kids ages 1-12.
In October, I moved back to Orange County after being away for 7 years. I immediately started working with an amazing family. They have two girls, 18 months and 2.5. Sadly, they will no longer be needing a nanny and I’ll be available beginning of February!
I am looking for around 35 hours and I am flexible on days and times!
Hope to chat soon!

As far as experience and passion, I have 5 years of experience in childcare both with a couple private families and with youth group summer camps at my church. I have supervised children from ages 3-12. I have also watched 4 children at a time. I can help with drop off and pick up tasks depending on the children's' schedules. I am also a good cook and prioritize a healthy lifestyle for myself and the children I am taking care of. I am a fun-loving, patient and creative adult that has a passion for children and tending to their needs. I am reliable and very adaptable. Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Irvine, CA
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Irvine can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Irvine Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in California?
- Do you have a California driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
