A little bit about me
▪︎My name is Miss Jackie and I'm looking to get out of the daycare life after several years!
▪︎I have 3 years experience in infant rooms (6 weeks-18 months), 1 year with 2 year old, 3 years with 3-4 year olds, and about a year of miscellaneous ages. My students have been some of my best friends and I love getting cards from them!
▪︎I like to get outside nearly daily with the littles to play and explore! (Even in winter; admittedly not my favorite season by far.)
▪︎I like to foster independence as much as possible to enable kids to grow into self-reliant and responsible people.
▪︎I have certifications in child safety, brain development, CRP, first aid, mandatory reporting, and more.
▪︎A few things of note:
▪︎I raised my sisters and am familiar with homeschooling curriculums.
▪︎I'm allergic to cats.
▪︎I sing frequently- my mind is a search engine of children's songs.
▪︎I know maybe 300 signs in ASL and some French and Spanish.
▪︎Thank you!

A little bit about me
I’m a creative person and enjoy painting, drawing, cooking, baking, and doing fun activities or experiments with kids. I try to bring that creativity into my time with children so they’re learning, exploring, and having fun.
I value open communication with parents and always aim to support the routines and parenting styles that work best for each family. I’m dependable, responsible, and attentive to the small details that help a household run smoothly.
After spending some time working in the corporate world, I’m excited to return to nannying and find a family where I can provide reliable care while creating a positive, engaging environment for their children.

A little bit about me
Hi! I'm Karen! I have been nannying children for the past 5 years. I am a Mom to 3 of my own children, 24, 20, 17, and we live in Brighton. I grew up here, and love the community, and feel so fortunate for being able to raise my kids just 2 minutes from my family, home where my Mom still lives!
I am looking to stay relatively close to home. I desire to be with one family all day either 8-4, 9-5, or something similar to a regular work day.
Helping others to raise wonderful little humans is definitely my jam! My schooling was in social work, but I am just a natural born people person/lover! I get along with everyone, and have never met a child, or an animal who didn't absolutely love me! That says a lot in my opinion! If you are interested, please comment below, and I will reach out to you, or feel free to dm me, and I will get back to you promptly
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Rochester, NY
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Rochester can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Rochester Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in New York?
- Do you have a New York driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
