A little bit about us

Hi my name is Angie and I have two daughters. The oldest one is 5 years old and her name is Abigail. My second daughter is 2 years old and her name is Amyra. Abigail is very playful, curious, social, loves to do any activities such as playing with play dough, going on walks, play soccer and etc. My daughter Amyra is calm, playful, and curious on learning new things. My expectations for my part time nanny are feed both girls her lunch, dinner, play with them such as doing activities in my house. Change their clothes if they get wet, change diapers. Amyra is getting potty trained and like to do several things on her own. Amyra and Abigail are not allowed screen time max an hour or two. I’m looking for someone who is passionate of caring and has the energy to play with my kids and is bilingual since my daughter’s primary language is Spanish. The days I need a Nanny is Saturday 1pm-11:30pm and Sunday from 1pm-7:30pm.

A little bit about us

Hi! My husband and I are looking for a great nanny for our newborn. Some light housekeeping is required. We do have a small hypoallergenic dog, so please consider that when applying. Our dog is super friendly and well-trained. Occasional assistance with laundry would be great.
We will be trying out different nannies in the next couple of weeks, a few times per week for a few hours. Starting April, we will need someone full-time and she will be 4 months at that time. Our little one currently just likes to sleep and play but is still fairly young so she sleeps a lot. We are looking for someone who is willing to give her tons of love.
Spanish speaking a plus!

What Are Bilingual Nanny Jobs?

Bilingual nanny jobs are positions where speaking a second language is a valued part of the role. Families may want their children to learn a language, keep up a language spoken at home, or communicate with a grandparent or relative. Your language skills can set you apart from other candidates and may support a higher rate.

Types of Bilingual Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Some families want you to speak only the second language with the children, and others want a mix throughout the day. Responsibilities can include childcare, meals, activities, and reading and playing in the second language. Jobs can be full-time, part-time, or live-in, so check the schedule and expectations in each posting.

How to Interview for Bilingual Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • Which language do you want me to use, and how often?
  • How fluent do you expect me to be?
  • Do the children already speak the language?
  • Are there other adults in the home who speak it?
  • Is language teaching part of the role, or just everyday conversation?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
