A little bit about us
She has cerebral palsy, which affects her movement and speech. The thinking part of her brain is a normal, fun-loving seven year old. She uses a walker and sometimes a wheelchair. She needs help with basic activities, and really needs supervision to be safe as she does become more independent.
Our daughter loves playing with her friends, learning, museums, art projects, working out to get stronger, and other fun activities like cheerleading and more.
During the school year, ideally we'd have help at least Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:15pm - 8pm, but we can add more hours of house-management-style-work for the right person, if needed. Also, Saturday from 9:30am - 6:30pm. We need some flexibility to have overnights, or date nights on some evenings, and also some willingness to come travel. There will be at least 35 hours of work for the right person.
Responsibilities include helping our daughter with basic, everyday tasks, and keeping it clean around her (not general housekeeping); basic cooking for our daughter; some pick-ups, drop-offs, appointments; playdates (going to and hosting); activities to keep our girls growing; help with homework and learning in general. Some basic administrative work to help with our daughter may come up for the right person.
