A little bit about us

My husband works in telecommunication as a project manager, traveling often and occasionally working from home. I am also a project manager working 100% from home.

Our daughter is currently 6 months old, very active, and extremely observant. She loves playing with her Montessori style toys, being read to, and being outside. She is always ready to be moving whether she's trying to crawl, standing up, swinging, or walking in her stroller.

In need of a part time nanny who is comfortable with infants. Ideally need someone 3-4 hours a day. Im flexible with hours, anytime between 8:30-4pm, Monday-Thursday. Would be great if you were free occasional weekends, for date night (once a month) for a few hours.
You'll be responsible for changing, and bottle feeding my daughter. Interacting with her, taking her on walks in her stroller ( we live next to a park).
I work from home, so will be there if any questions or emergencies come up. Would prefer someone CPR certified, and has worked with infants before.
Also, must be okay with dogs, we have a English bulldog.

A little bit about us

Hello! We are looking for part time nanny assistance for our 8 month old son. He is a happy, silly and super fun baby who loves to play and gets into everything he possibly can! My husband and I work opposite schedules and there are 2 hours in the evenings where our schedules overlap. We are looking for someone to keep an eye on baby while I finish my workday at home and husband goes into work. We are open to more hours if we could nanny share, right now we are looking at what options we may have. We have a dog and she will bark when someone arrives (she is a guard dog) but she is sweet and non-aggressive. We don't expect any additional tasks from nanny, we just want someone who will be fully present with him during the hours my husband and I have to focus elsewhere.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Oceanside, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Oceanside, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Oceanside, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
