A little bit about us

My name is Alexandra. My partner, Chad, and I are expecting our first baby in the fall, a little girl! We will be hoping to find a nanny share or part time nanny beginning in March of 2023.

About us: Chad is a professional drummer and beer brewer. I am a licensed behavior analyst. We are very laid back people and looking for someone that we can trust and that can become part of our family.

About the role: I work from home so will be needing assistance with the little sprout while I am in Zoom meetings. Tuesday-Friday 9am-2pm, and occasional weekends if possible!

Ideally, if we nanny share we would prefer to drop our little off at someone's home; simply because our place is pretty small and since i work from home, it would be a bit of a crowd in here!

We are open to having nanny in home as well if it's the right fit. In this case; We have 2 dogs that are super loving. Nanny would not be required to care for them, though they should not be scared of dogs since these guys will sit right on your lap without thinking twice. Light cleaning/ helping around the house (cleaning up after baby, baby laundry, some dishes etc).

A little bit about us

Currently pregnant with my third child, I have 2 younger daughters. Amani is 3 going on 4 and Alahni is going on 9months. I am a military spouse, we live on Camp Pendleton here in Oceanside. Looking for a nanny before I have my son in December, so we can closely connect. I meal prep and I do most of the cleaning around my home, but some days I may need a hand with both if my husband and I have date nights, while he is in the field or deployment, while I am at work (after I deliver). Someone I can call if my water breaks and what happens my kids while my husband and I are in the hospital for labor and delivery. I need someone trustworthy, dependable, patient and kind.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Oceanside, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. What is an Infant Nanny in Oceanside, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Oceanside, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
