A little bit about us

We are a family of three soon to be four, recently moving to the Rhinebeck area. We are looking for someone to become a part of our family. As a stay at home mother, I’m hoping to find someone who can be an extra pair of hands, collaborating and supporting with the kids, around the house. We do also have a dog, Fred, who might appreciate occasional walking. Please get in touch if that might be you!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a great nanny for 1 child (will be 3 months at start date) in Rhinecliff. We would prefer a nanny who has their own car, who does not smoke, and who is comfortable with pets (we have one cat who mostly keeps to themselves).

My husband and I work from home mostly, although I may be traveling to the city 1-2 days a week. Most likely I will step out and work from the local library/coffee shop while you are here so that I can focus and the baby is not distracted but my husband will be home in his office throughout the day.

We are a family that values individuality, creativity as well as laughter as we take a gentle approach to parenting. Looking for a caretaker who can also embody these traits.

We can be somewhat flexible with hours so if this job seems like something you are interested in, please reach out!

A little bit about us

My son is 4 months old and I will be returning to work. I work 3 days a week with alternating weekend shifts (my husband would be taking over on the weekends, so I won’t require a nanny those days). My husband works from home and I would need a nanny to stay in our house with my son while my husband works, that way if you need anything my husband would be accessible to help.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Rhinebeck, NY

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Rhinebeck, NY

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Rhinebeck, NY? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
