A little bit about us

I am in need of a nanny for two days a week. I have a vibrant 6 year old, and bouncy 2 year old and a bubbly 4 month old. I would need a nanny to transport my 6 year old to and from school and care for my 2 and 4 month old during the day. From about 7 to 5 two days a week.

A little bit about us

We are new parents seeking an experienced nanny to join our family in late August. Our baby boy will be 3 months old at the time.

I return to work part time in September and full time in November. We are ideally looking for someone to start at 30hrs/week (M-Th) and increase to a full-time position (45hrs/week M-F) from mid-November onward.

I work from home on M/F and commute to NYC on T/W/Th. My husband works M-F either from home or from Beacon. We have a small very well-behaved dog. Additional responsibilities would include light cleaning/tidying and household support.

We currently live in a lovely home in the Town of Newburgh (Orange Lake). We will be relocating to our forever home nearby in Cold Spring in 2025.

A little bit about us

My husband and I both work from home, but we can’t balance taking care of our baby and working at the same time. We’d like a nanny 2 days/week to take care of our 6 month old (Elliot) when I go back to work at the end of July. Hours for the 2 days would be 10am-4pm, but we do have flexibility there since we are working from home.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Newburgh, NY

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Newburgh, NY

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Newburgh, NY? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
