We are looking for a caring, reliable nanny to care for our baby boy in our home from mid-June through most of September. Our son will be 5 months old in June, so we are hoping to find someone with experience caring for young infants who enjoys engaging with babies and supporting their development.

Schedule:
• Monday–Wednesday
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

About our family:
We are a friendly, easygoing family. Dad works from home, and Mom works hybrid at an office just down the road, so we are nearby if needed and can offer some schedule flexibility when possible. We also have a sweet dog and 2 kitties in the home.

We’re hoping to find someone who is dependable, nurturing, and attentive, and who will help create a safe and positive environment for our little one. Experience working with infants in a must.

If you’re interested, we’d love to hear about your experience and availability!

A little bit about us

We are looking for support for in home care for our daughter, Scarlett who is a bright and sassy two year old who loves to play!

About us: We moved (back) to Rochester in July and I am a teacher in the school district and my husband works an accounting position from home. Our son Sawyer was born in August and we've been fortunate that my husband has been able to be off for the first six months of his life to care for our two children. He starts a new position 2/5 so we are looking for help with MAINLY our daughter, but perhaps some occasional help with our son as well when my husband has to be on a call.

We are looking for someone for a longterm position for approximately 12-15 hours a week (3 days a week) to get us from breakfast until nap time. We may require some flexibility on days as my mother will be caring for the kids two days a week (but we're hoping she can give us a consistent schedule).

We have opted for in home care as we had such a lovely experience in Stamford, CT before we moved. We are hoping for find a loving friend/teacher for our daughter and son!

A little bit about us

I'm looking for a nanny share that will welcome a happy baby girl! I do want a nanny that has other children to care for, as I want to socialize her. I work 4 days a week, Monday through Friday but my day off changes every week. I get my schedule in 6-8wk blocks (generally). She would need care 7a-4 or 4:30p. We could drop off and pick up. If watching kids at my house, minimal pet care would be needed (just letting the dog in and out, making sure her water is full).

A little bit about us

We are looking for a great nanny for 1 child in Rochester. We would prefer a nanny who has their own car, who does not smoke and who is CPR certified. Me and my wife are looking for someone willing to watch our almost 9-month-old evenings after she's out of her medical daycare. Looking for someone from like 4 p.m. to maybe the latest 8 p.m. when my wife gets out of work. Our daughter has to get feed from a feeding pump and it gets connected to the G-tube so must be willing to learn to use as she doesn't take anything by mouth. It's easy to learn as we were taught in the NICU. Would only have to use it for her 4 p.m. feed after daycare. I got a new job and been training and finding out my hrs this Friday. My hrs will be changing every 3 months. My wife works till 6 or 7 p.m. depending on the day

Hello! We are the Shanley Family, currently looking for a loving and responsible nanny who can take care of our adorable son. Our child will be turning five months old in December, thus we are seeking someone who can watch over him every Thursday, starting in December. The hours will be from 7:30am to 5pm once a week.

Your responsibilities predominantly include nurturing our little one and making sure he is comfortable, safe, and happy. In addition to childcare, tasks include light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for our baby.

We are in search of a nanny who owns a car and has a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history. We feel this is essential due to transportation needs in case of any emergencies. We also ask that you have a strong command of the English language to uphold effective communication.

For your caring service, we are offering a payment of $18.00 per hour for an estimated 10 hours per week. We look forward to welcoming a experienced and nurturing individual who’d enjoy being a part of our family's life.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Rochester, NY

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Rochester, NY

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Rochester, NY? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
