A little bit about us

Hello! I am looking for an in-house nanny for my 10 month old Giavanna. I am back at work and would like someone reliable and a non-smoker. I do have a 2 year old aussiedoodle (Ace) who is very friendly and loves to be right where you are. I am looking currently for every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from about 7:30am-6:30pm (changes some days) my husband would come home for his lunch break to take the dog outside so you wouldn’t have to worry about him. I might ask you to turn the crockpot on at a certain time and do some light housework if you can. Other than that just playing with Giavanna, helping her develop her skills and grow, she gets fed breast milk in a bottle, and put down for 2 naps a day. Looking forward to working with you!

A little bit about us

Hello! My name is Megan, my husband and I have three kids 6, 4, and 10 months. Days would *typically* be Tuesdays and Wednesday’s, occasionally a Friday would be sprinkled in there. I am and RN so my days unfortunately change, but the hours would generally be from 9a-7p (except the occasional Friday, which would be 9-5p). Light house cleaning, some meal preps and help with our first graders homework would be much appreciated. Any interest, feel free to reach out! I can give more details then as well.

A little bit about us

I have an adorable little boy who was born premature and spent 2 whole months in the NICU. Because of his risk factors we cannot send him to large daycares. I’m looking for a nanny to share between our child and one other child from 10am-4pm, 4-5 days per week. Alternating homes would be a plus!

What is an Infant Nanny in Schenectady, NY

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Schenectady, NY? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
