"I am writing to express my recommendation for Angelica Kartsonis Also known as (Jelly) that’s what my girls nicknamed her ❤️ she has worked as a babysitter for my two children for the last year, beginning on July of last year. She always arrives on time and serves as an excellent role model to my young children. They look forward to their time with Angelica and are always very sad to see her leave. I have known Angelica to be a kind and responsible person. She has never given me reason to believe that she could not handle any situation that was put before her. You would be very fortunate to hire her as an employee."

A little bit about me…

Hi! My name is Courtney. I am the oldest of four girls and I grew up in Fruit Cove, FL. I have always been a nurturer. I have looked after children since I was a pre-teen. I have also raised my own son who is now serving in the Air Force. I have worked professionally as a nanny for over 6 years. Currently I am teaching in the mornings at a private half-day preschool. I am looking for work in the afternoons/early evenings.

My friends and family would describe me as an introvert who is kind, patient, thoughtful, creative, supportive, considerate, responsible, funny, organized, detail-oriented, altruistic, and a lot of fun to be around.

Working with children is what I am most passionate about and being a nanny is something I love doing because I love teaching, guiding, playing and learning every day.

"HIRE HER! You will be so glad you did. My kids LOVE her. Courtney worked for us for 2.5 years looking after our son, who has cerebral palsy and severe allergies, from the time he was 20 months until he was 4 years old. She even worked with him on therapy related activities. She also worked with him on colors, numbers, letters, reading, sign language, speech, etc. She truly has made our lives so much better by giving him a way to communicate his needs. He is a much happier kid due to his ability to communicate. She was also there to help take care of our family through house work and other tasks, especially while I was pregnant with our second child. Courtney helped with postpartum care as well, which meant I could get a little sleep. Courtney is all my daughter has ever really know for a caregiver, other than us. It has been hard adjusting to not having Courtney around since we moved. She was more than just a nanny to us, she became part of our family. She is a very rare care giver."

A little bit about me…

I was born and raised in Africa. I may not have paid experience as a nanny but have had many experiences of voluntary baby sitting for family and friends. As for family, I helped my sister with her two boys from their delivery to the time I came to this country. They grew to be 1 and 3 years old. I also helped my cousin with an autistic child from age 1 to about 4 years old. But that was occasional.

My most memorable one is helping a friend who almost had a pre eclampsia, had her girl prematurely at 6 months. She barely weighed a kilo. I was with her from time of delivery all through a month In NICU, we were discharged and I stayed around to help with kangaroo sessions, tube feeding sun bathing for jaundice which is typical of premature babies. I was glad to be a part of that baby's life until I left Africa to come to the US. She has turned out to be a bright little being in school and I feel extremely proud of being a part of her life from the most vulnerable stage to kindergarten.
