A little bit about us

Hi we are new parents to a baby boy. We would like a part time nanny to help with newborn activities (diaper changes, cleaning of pump parts, bottle feeds, etc) as well as being able to watch over the baby while mom runs out the door for an hour or two. Would also be great if the nanny was available for night nurse activities during certain weeks when Dad is working night shift at the hospital.

A little bit about us

Hi there! We are looking for childcare from a positive, outgoing person that loves babies! My husband is at work M-F and I work from home.

We are flexible on exact weekdays but would ideally have someone come in 4 hour blocks, three days a week. Ideal start date would be June 1 through first three weeks of July. If the relationship goes well, we are open to continuing care into the fall.

Light house cleaning for us would just mean resetting any play areas and washing any bottles used during care. Strong no phone/screens policy with the exception of movies on rainy days;)

We have a yard so indoor and outdoor play is very possible! Open transparent communication is key. Experience with infants also a must.

Will pay for CPR certification if needed

My schedule is Sunday-Wednesday 12pm-8ish. Jeremy is 14years old.pretty much independent he does have a mild case of autism, but for the most part he's a great help around the house very much off to himself. Jace'Rocha is pretty much out going. He enjoys riding his bike with friends and playing his game with his friends. He's also a big help around the house. Jenas is outgoing also enjoying helping out and enjoying watching movies. She loves to help out in the kitchen. Charlee and Markice is the two babies who is the most busiest. They are pretty much alike and also they love outside. They also enjoy car rides, park and dancing time to they favorite tv shows "gracy corner, super simple, scratch garden, tunies and more." They also love drinking a lot. Markice is currently going through evaluation for autism. He do struggle with a slight communication. I'm pretty much looking for someone who I can trust and also deal with the pressure of 5 kids. All though it may not seem easy to most I need someone who is nursing, comforting, patient and also set structure. My kids are not bad at all very respect and kind.

A little bit about us

Hello! We have an 8 month little girl and we’re looking for a nanny/baby sitter for part time sitting. Our baby is just starting to crawl and she is all over the place! Ideally, we’d love someone to help out on some weekends in may and June, as we are planning to move in June and need free arms. Then I would love to work with whomever to come up with a mutually beneficial schedule. This would be very part time but I would be more than willing to work with your availability for evenings and weekends. Baby girl goes to daycare during the day and we love having our evenings and weekends with her but would just greatly benefit from some help.

How can I prepare for a nanny job interview in New Orleans?

To ace a nanny job interview, it's essential to research the family's needs and preferences, as well as familiarize yourself with the local New Orleans area. Be prepared to discuss your childcare experience, certifications, and education. You should also be ready to answer nanny interview questions about your childcare philosophy, discipline style, and how you handle emergencies. Don't forget to bring a list of references and any relevant certifications, such as CPR or First Aid training.

What does a typical nanny interview process look like?

The nanny interview process typically begins with a phone or video call, followed by an in-person interview. In some cases, you may be asked to participate in a trial period or "working interview" where you spend time with the family and children. Throughout the process, be prepared to discuss your childcare experience, your nanny responsibilities, and any special skills you may have, such as fluency in another language or experience with special needs children.

What should I know about nanny contracts in New Orleans?

A nanny contract is an essential document that outlines the terms and conditions of your employment, including your responsibilities, work hours, salary, benefits, and termination conditions. Before signing a contract, it's crucial to read it thoroughly, ask questions, and consider seeking legal advice if needed.

This includes Social Security, Medicare, and federal and state income taxes. To simplify the process, families can use a nanny payroll service to ensure they're compliant with tax laws. As a nanny, you should familiarize yourself with your rights and obligations when it comes to taxes and make sure the family you work for is handling payroll correctly.
