Hello :) My name, Meaghan. I am 24 and have been working with children as far back as I can remember. Growing up I took care of my younger sister and 8 nieces and nephews. This is were I discovered my love for teaching, playing and watching the development of children. While in high school I interned at a Pre-school (which was also the same pre-school I had attended from 2-4yrs old). After graduating high school I attended the San Diego-Art Institute, were I studied Advertising, then attended South Western Collage, for Child Development. While in college and after I was a Nanny and also babysat for families on the weekends. In early 2011 I took temporary custody of 9 and 11 yr. old brothers while there family provided them a more stable environment to live. Proud to say they are doing great. In late 2011 I decided to open up a Licensed in home child care. I am licensed to watch up to 8 children but kept the number around 4 to 5. The children were able to get more personal, almost 1 on 1, attention. It also gave me time to do more personalized lessons with each child's age/needs. The schedule each day was flexible and organized. I provided baby sign language, music and movement, in door/ outdoor play, arts and crafts, story and circle time, free play, etc. I also offered all meals/snacks, mostly organic, all homemade. In 2013 do to traveling more and also with the children I was caring for moving on to pre-school, so proud they are beyond ready :) I have stopped the daycare for now and decide to Nanny again. When going to your home I will bring what I call my Marry Poppins bag. Which is full of age appropriate Toys, Books, Flash cards, Activates and more. This bring in even more excitement each time and helps with distractions if it is a little hard during the good-byes (or see-you-laters) :)

Well, for starters, I've been babysitting since I was around 8 years old. From baby cousins to nieces and nephews to being head of the church nursery, my experience with children is extensive. Although, this is my first time working with a legitimate nanny or babysitting agency, I have cared for two 5 year old twins with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder for almost 2 whole years while their mother (my cousin Carol) underwent the struggles of breast cancer. (She beat it, by the way!) This involved typical nanny duties like picking them up and taking them to Pre-K, karate lessons, ballet, and tee-ball on the weekends, etc. I also helped Carol maintain her household by doing laundry, occasionally cooking lunches for the kids and tending to Tyler and Taylor's needs. I would love to add to my experience through caring for the children of a busy family! I love children and I love being around their pure spirits. I also have a very free schedule while I save money for school so my entire schedule would be devoted to the family I get the opportunity work with.

I have babysit a lot and I love it so much. I have had to cook, clean, and help the children with their homework and I admit It was a challenged. I was able to place all of the kids needs first like bathing, brushing teeth, homework, eating, and being in bed on time. some kids was harder to get in bed and refuse to sleep but I ensured them if they go to sleep the next time I see them we would play any game they wanted if all homework was finished. I have played dress up, fairy's, cars, tag, hide n seek, crafts, and many more. I cook meeting the specific foods the family told me that their child eats, wash clothes, clean restroom, make beds, and ensuring all dishes are clean. I followed all rules and regulations the parents gave to me.

I am young yet mature, responsible, reliable and cheerful person with excellent childcare and interpersonal skills. Even though I am fairly new and have 1 year of experience of being a nanny, I am highly qualitfied. I am a mother of two. One 5 year old son and another that is 8 years old. My previous nanny job I Cared for two girls, aged 2 years old and 8 month old (at the time of starting). I simply love children, love caring for them. My family and friends have always called me the baby whisperer and I think that is because children respond instinctively to my nurturing and positive energy. I am seeking further nanny work to continue doing what I love and broadening my experience.
