A little bit about me
I have 4 years experience nannying and babysitting kids of all ages! I've looked after littles as young as 3 weeks old all the way to teens as old as 16 years old. The age group I typically nanny is between 6months and 3 years old. I have always loved working with kids, even as one myself; I helped out in the younger classrooms all throughout my schooling and have been "family babysitter" for as long as I can remember. I enjoy spending time outside, reading books, baking, and art. I also love experiencing new things! I have housekeeping experience, if you needed any tidying done, and I love to cook as well, if that's needed. I absolutely adore all animals, so it's not an issue at all if you have any! Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

A little bit about me
I’m an active and outdoorsy person—I love fishing, hiking, yoga, and Pilates—and I enjoy bringing that energy into my time with kids, whether that means outdoor adventures, crafts, or simply staying engaged and present. Family is very important to me, and I value building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
I would love the opportunity to be a positive, reliable presence in your child’s life!

A little bit about me
I'm a super responsible, affectionate, empathetic and calm person. Since I was a scout I like to spend time in nature. I am a true believer that the best way for children to learn is by playing.
I hope we can connect to talk better about caring for your children who are my priority because I understand that they are the most important people in your life.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Sonoma, CA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Sonoma Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Sonoma? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Sonoma?
- Do you have a driver’s license in CA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
