A little bit about me
I’ve had the joy of working with children from 3 months to 17 years old, supporting not only their daily routines but also their growth, learning, and creativity. I believe in creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children can thrive—whether that means reading stories, exploring the outdoors, doing crafts, or helping with homework.
I’m comfortable with light housekeeping, meal prep, and pet care, as well.
I’d be honored to bring my skills and warmth to your family, and I look forward to meeting you and your little ones!

🌊 I’m the oldest of six girls! Between helping raise them & sitting for other families/pets over the years, I’m super comfortable with kids of all ages. I’m really patient, reliable, intuitive, & I tend to build trust quickly with both kids & animals.
🌊 A little about me: I work part-time at Dick’s Sporting Goods & I am also a social media manager/photographer. I’m super creative, I love music, writing, coffee, traveling/trips, sports & spending time outside. I’m outgoing but also know how to keep things calm & grounded. I’m flexible with scheduling & happy to chat about what you’re looking for! 🎨🎶📝☕️🏅✈️👩🏼💻📸

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Leland, NC
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Leland Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Leland? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Leland?
- Do you have a driver’s license in NC? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
