A little bit about me…
I am comfortable watching many children at once; from 2 months-teen years.
I have experience being a nanny, date night sitter, before or after school care, camp counselor, mothers helper, Sunday School teacher, after school prog teacher, Special Education Aide, etc. I've been a nanny for several families through the years.
Nanny/date night/sitter duties: changing diapers, meal prep, bathtime, morning or night routine, taking kids to the park, swimming, doing crafts, baking, reading, doing puzzles & other games, straightening up, coloring, painting, etc. I love being a role model for children and ensuring their safety.
Favorite children's book is Bread and jam for Frances. Favorite children's games: Mancala, checkers, Uno, etc.

A little bit about me…
I try to make it not feel like a job but to make it a play date for the kids.
I love to clean and cook so doing that would not be an issue, just please make me aware of any allergies.
I prefer smaller children ( up to 6 years old) but any age is fine by me.

A little bit about me…
I’m 19 years old and I know that am seem young but I do have years of experience from being the “family babysitter”. Growing up I watched my younger cousins and my little sister a lot. As I got older though, I decided I really do enjoy child care and taking care of children so I worked my eighth grade summer going into high school I worked as a camp counselor and for my community service hours my freshman year I did them at my local daycare. Then for two summers I worked with a single mom and helped her twins daughter (4) I took them out a lot to the park, movie at the library, the sprinklers/water park, pool, and sometimes we just had fun in the house painting coloring etc. Then for the pass two years I’ve been doing occasional babysitting jobs and worked 6 months as an infant daycare assistant until I moved.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Greenville, NC
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Greenville Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Greenville? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Greenville?
- Do you have a driver’s license in NC? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
