A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Christy, a dependable, patient, and compassionate caregiver with over 28 years of childcare experience. As the oldest of five children, I began helping care for my four younger siblings at age 14, and I've loved working with children ever since. I recently earned my Associate of Applied Science in Medical Office Administration and am CPR, First Aid, and BLS certified. I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, helping with homework, and creating a safe, positive environment where children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to grow. I understand that trusting someone with your children is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care while giving parents peace of mind that their children are in caring, capable hands.

Kim
"While Christy was with us she cared for our 3 children ages 2,6 and 10. She was responsible for organizing educational activities, preparing their meals, and helped get them to and from school. She also did some light housekeeping that was related to the children, such as washing dishes, washing clothes, and picking up the play area. She has very well time management abilities as well. She always showed up on time for her day and the children were always on time for school, playdates, and functions. She was a true blessing to our family."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been caring for children since I was 14 years old. As the oldest of five children, I helped care for my four younger siblings and gained valuable hands-on experience with children of different ages. I also provided private childcare for families throughout the years. During my son's younger years, I worked in childcare while raising him, giving me both professional and personal experience. My son is now 21 years old, and my lifelong experience has taught me patience, responsibility, creativity, and the importance of providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy keeping children engaged through fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities, including:

Arts and crafts
Nature walks and outdoor adventures
Reading books and storytelling
Helping with homework, reading, and math
Board games, card games, and puzzles
Building with LEGO® and blocks
Creative play and imagination games
Coloring, painting, and DIY projects
Music, singing, and dancing
Baking and simple kid-friendly cooking
Science experiments and STEM activities
Trips to parks and playgrounds
Educational games and learning activities
Sensory play for younger children
Encouraging kindness, confidence, and independence
Playing sports and active games outdoors
Movie nights and family-friendly activities
Teaching life skills such as cleaning up, organization, and responsibility in fun, age-appropriate ways

My goal is to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is making sure every child feels safe, loved, and valued. A child's well-being will always be my first priority, whether that means keeping them physically safe, offering comfort when they need it, or creating a space where they feel free to learn, explore, and simply be themselves. I believe children thrive when they are surrounded by patience, encouragement, and kindness. I strive to create a warm, creative environment filled with laughter, curiosity, and opportunities to grow. Knowing that a child feels secure, confident, and excited to learn each day is the greatest reward, and I consider it a true privilege to be someone families can trust with what matters most—their children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal and hands-on experience caring for children with special needs. Two of my younger siblings have ADHD, and my son is autistic, giving me years of experience understanding different learning styles, communication needs, and the importance of patience and consistency. I also had the privilege of babysitting a wonderful little boy with Down syndrome. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation and love for children with disabilities. I believe every child deserves to feel accepted, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential, and I strive to provide compassionate, individualized care that meets each child's unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is watching a child realize they can do something they couldn't do before. Whether it's helping them write their name for the first time, sound out a new word, count a little higher, or master a new skill, those proud smiles never get old. I also believe some of the best memories are made by getting a little messy—painting, crafting, baking, sensory play, or exploring outside. Children learn best when they're having fun, and I love creating a safe, encouraging environment where they can be curious, creative, and confident. Seeing their excitement as they discover something new is one of the most rewarding parts of caring for children.

Endea M. - Seeking Work in Greenville

Babysitter Available in Greenville, NC: Endea M.

I am a 15 (proud to say almost 16) year old girl who loves kids so much! I have a very maternal and caretaking personality even though i have no children. My character of love reflects when i take care of kids for sure. i have no problem cooking, cleaning, playing, tutoring, and being a problem solver! That’s what I’m here for! I have 4 siblings, an amazing mom, and 2 beautiful nieces. They are where i get my experience from and they continue to be why i am the way i am. I would want them in the right hands so i treat other people children with respect, empathy, and unconditional love. I took a very beneficial child development course last semester and it grew my knowledge when it comes to the developmental stages of babies and toddlers. Don’t let my age steer you away, I am very well educated and i promise you I know what I’m doing not only when it comes to nurturing but also when it comes to safety. You can trust me 1000%. Thanks for reading, have a sweet day!
